Bloomin' Marvellous Jersey

For a small island, Jersey has a lot to offer.

Warmed by the Gulf Stream, its waters are teaming with marine life, including dolphins, porpoise, grey seals, basking sharks and pilot whales.

Its beaches are beautiful, stretching from Sorel Point in the north to Le Minquiers reef in the south and its coast is punctuated by pretty villages and fishing harbours that are visited on a scenic, ‘Around the Island’ tour.

This year, however, flowers are the stars of the summer show and SwanTours travellers will be invited to take grandstand seats at Jersey’s Battle of Flowers to witness a floral  spectacular that’s guaranteed to raise a smile.

The people of Jersey have been planning float design, costumes, and dance routines all year and are now ready to compete for the coveted Prix d’Honneur using a fantastic array of flowers including gladioli, carnations asters, hydrangea, chrysanthemums and grasses as decorations to wow spectators and, of course, those allimportant judges.
