Spectacular Scotland on Safari

Spectacular Scotland on Safari

With more trees than you could shake a stick at, Scotland’s landscape represents one of Europe’s last remaining wildernesses. Whilst natural elements have sculpted the nations topography, heaving mountains towards louds and sinking lochs into valley hollows.

Day-by-Day Highlights

Day 1  A relaxing journey as we head north into Carlisle, for an overnight stay at the Crown and Mitre Hotel ***

Day 2  Continue travel through Scotland to arrive at Glamis Castle and Gardens, featuring gorgeous architecture and plenty of themed gardens including an Italian Garden, Walled Garden and Nature trail. Onwards to Pitlochry where a warm welcome awaits at the Fishers Hotel the perfect place to unwind, dine and look forward to some grand adventures to come.

Day 3  Kilted Mountain Safari Rangers in Land Rovers are ready to transport us on a 2 .5 hour Highland safari through forests, mountains and moors into the last wilderness of Europe where regular sightings of grouse, mountain hare, deer and golden eagle can be seen in their natural habitat. There’s time to enjoy a wee dram and shortbread at a mountain bothy before lunch at Kenmore Hotel, Scotland’s oldest inn. Admiring nature at her wildest as the SwanTourer glides through Perthshire countryside toward Pitlochry, one of Scotland’s most beautiful and vibrant towns.

Day 4  Majestic mountains and magnificent lochs, rivers and waterfalls all add to Scotland’s rugged beauty and help imprint wonderful memories on a circular West Highland tour from Perthshire to Speyside.

There’s much to explore at the Highland Folk Museum, where collections reflect on the social and rural way of life in the Scottish Highlands from the 1700’s to mid 1900’s.
